One in custody after apartment fire in SW Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - One person has been taken into custody following an apartment fire in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Fire Department, firefighters responded to an apartment complex near SW 15th and Pattee Ave. around midnight on Thursday.
Upon arrival, heavy smoke could be seen coming from the unit. The fire was found and extinguished in the back bedroom. The Oklahoma City Police Department and Oklahoma City Housing Authority were also on scene.
Officials say the unit was vacant, but the fire was intentional. One suspect was taken into custody by police.
No injuries were reported and estimated cost of damage is $4,000.
