Report: Spurs are looking at two players from the same European club

Tottenham Hotspur may be focused on challenging at the top of the Premier League table right now, but their scouts are being kept busy ahead of the summer. Apparently, Spurs have sent officials to watch two Union Saint-Gilloise players: Mohamed Amoura and Koki Machida.

Ange Postecoglou has put together a pretty impressive squad in such a short space of time at Tottenham, but he is clearly far from finished assembling the group of players he wants.

One of the positions Postecoglou is thought to be keen on improving is the striker role, with no direct replacement for Harry Kane being found yet.

And, despite the signings of Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin this season, it is thought Postecoglou wants to sign another centre-half this summer to ensure he has adequate depth in that position.

Spurs watching two players from Union-Gilloise

That is where Union-Gilloise could come in, as Spurs are believed to be watching two of their players right now.

It was recently reported by Fennec Football that Tottenham had sent scouts to watch striker Mohamed Amoura in the Europa Conference League.

This is reiterated by Voetbal Belgie, who claim Amoura is not the only player Spurs have been keeping an eye on at the Belgian club. Apparently, his teammate, defender Koki Machida, is also of interest to the Lilywhites.

It seems Spurs may now be looking to arrange deals for both players in the summer. It is expected that Union-Gilloise will want around €20m (£17m) for Amoura.

And, according to the Belgian website Footnews, both Amoura and Machida have been catching the eye of European clubs, but Tottenham are the only club mentioned by name.

That report claims the striker “can count on the interest” of Spurs if he were to look for a move this summer, and it is said it would be “difficult” for his current club to keep hold of him.
