Meghan Markle's Just-Launched Lifestyle Brand Proves She’s Diving Right Back Into Her First Passions
After months of build-up, Meghan Markle‘s new lifestyle brand, named American Riviera Orchard, finally launched today!
The debut happened quietly with the launch of the brand’s website and official Instagram account. On the website, the brand’s name is written in golden handwriting in an embroidery-like font with Markle’s home city of Montecito, California, written underneath. For now, that’s all the website has, with the possibility of adding your email to the brand’s waitlist at the bottom.
On Instagram, the launch was just as subtle with nine separate posts showing the brand’s logo. The Instagram page, which already has over 35,000 followers, also features a video on Instagram Stories with Markle picking out flowers from a bouquet, cooking in the kitchen and getting ready for an event in a billowing black ballgown set to Nancy Wilson’s “I Wish You Love.”
And while details on the brand are still mostly under wraps, insiders are already revealing what Markle’s new project might look like. For fans of Markle’s previous website, titled The Tig, most of the topics will be far from a surprise.
According to a source for Page Six, American Riviera Orchard will “focus on home, garden, food and general lifestyle wares.” Looks like Markle is getting back to the things she knows best!
Prior to the release of the brand, sources were already giving some spoilers about Markle’s project. “From what I understand, I think Meghan will take on Martha Stewart, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ina Garten and play them at their own game,” one industry insider revealed to Page Six, adding that she wants “to position herself as a lifestyle entrepreneur à la Joanna Gaines or Gwyneth Paltrow.”
