Texas judge blocks US labor board rule making unionization easier

AUSTIN, Texas: A federal judge in Texas has blocked a new rule by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) that would have helped millions of workers at major companies to form unions.

The rule, which was due to go into effect this week, would have set new standards for determining when two companies should be considered "joint employers" in labor negotiations.

Under the current NLRB rule, passed in 2020
