An eye massager is the type of luxury that might seem like a waste of a) time, b) money, and c) facial real estate that could be better occupied by a pair of Ray-Bans or something. People seem to love the devices, though, when they’re good, and when they’re the right price. Such is the case for the RENPHO Eye Massager Eyeris 2, which already doesn’t break the bank at $72.99, but is even cheaper today for Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, 25% off at $55.

The device is battery-powered (rechargeable), and has two pressure and heat options. It’s also got a bevy of features including three auto-sleep timers (10, 15, and 20 minutes), an eye cushion, and gentle vibration. You can also connect it to your phone via Bluetooth, playing music through the device itself. According to the brand, its 1500mAh rechargeable battery means you can enjoy a week of daily moderate usage on a single full charge. The company also claims that the massager treats migraines, dry eyes, eye strain, and insomnia, with the caveat that it is not safe for people who have undergone eye operations, have retina conditions, cataracts, glaucoma, or other eye issues.

And Amazon reviewers rave about the RENPHO, with several saying that it’s particularly relaxing before bedtime (several did complain about the motor noise, though, worth noting for light sleepers). Some customers reiterated the brand’s claim that the massager is a good treatment for dry eyes, a much cheaper long-term alternative to self-heating eye pads.

And perhaps its biggest selling point: the RENPHO is FSA/HSA eligible. Not a bad splurge if you’ve always got too much cash left over after you’ve bought Supergoop and toothbrush heads for the month.
