The Indian Premier League (IPL) season is all set to begin on Friday, with the first match of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Before the tournament began, the organisers released a funny advertisement starring Rohit Sharma, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul, and Bollywood superstar Suniel Shetty. KL Rahul married to Athiya Shetty and son-in-law of Suniel Shetty, who is also a Mumbai Indians supporter, was seen in an ad with Rohit teasing Rahul in the video.
“Family dinner chal raha hai yaar,” Rohit can be heard as saying in the ad.
The humorous ad has gone viral on social media, and Rohit even uploaded the video on X (previously Twitter).
“Family time over @klrahul, ab rivalry time shuru ho gaya hai! @SunielVShetty ab hue humare,” Rohit captioned the video.
Meanwhile, Rohit will be captained by Hardik Pandya this season after being relieved of his duties by the Mumbai Indians.
Hardik and Rohit exchanged a hug during the MI’s training session on Wednesday.
When asked if he got the opportunity to address the shift in leadership with Rohit, Pandya gave a straightforward answer.
