Contingency

Speaking as a fan of the temporary appointment and of Gary Rowett in general (I think at some point in his career he will get a championship promotion, he has exactly the right attributes for what is and has been a pig of a division), I still want him no where near the club again in August.

Are there contingency plans do we think if God forbid, Mowbray just decided to retire. I think he is the best appointment we’ve made in a while but surely it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he just calls it a day and focuses on his health.

What do we do then? What if Rowett’s short second tenure is exceptional? I think he is a downgrade on even Eustace so in that regard it would be a massive step back to appoint him permanently if the worst was to happen. Do we need to start identifying people just in case?
