Yahoo Mail goes down in massive outage
Yahoo Mail has suffered an outage leaving thousands of users unable to access their accounts.
Thousands of users have reported problems after a glitch took down the service today, and it is the second time in the space of a month.
Tracking website Downdetector warned users of problems after the mail went down in the afternoon.
Yahoo Mail saw a spike in users reporting issues in the UK and Europe, Downdetector showed.
Email users were unable to log into their accounts due to a login error and server problems.
It comes after a string of outages affecting major retailers and websites like Greggs and Meta.
Sainsbury’s CEO apologised to customers after a tech issue forced the supermarket to cancel thousands of online deliveries.
The free email has an estimated 230 million users worldwide, while Google’s Gmail has more than 1.5 billion users.
