LAGOS WATERWAYS AUTHORITY RECEIVES ISO CERTIFICATE
In a remarkable achievement highlighting its commitment to excellence and safety, the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has announced the receipt of the prestigious International Organisation for Standardisation Certificate (ISO for Quality Management System). This recognition underscores LASWA’s dedication to upholding world-class standards in maritime operations and safety within the region.
Speaking at a mini-event organised by the West Sealand International (WSI) and LASWA for the ISO Certificate Presentation, on Wednesday, the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi commended LASWA Management for upholding international safety standards in the Lagos Water Transport Sector, adding that it is in line with the THEMES Plus Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Administration in Lagos State.
Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, General Manager of LASWA, expressed his profound appreciation for this milestone achievement, saying “Receiving the International Organisation for Standardisation Certificate is a testament to our relentless efforts in ensuring the safety and efficiency of water transportation in Lagos State. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to upholding global standards and continuously improving our services for the benefit of the people of Lagos”.
The CEO of WSI, Mr. Opeyemi Bashorun, in his address, noted that the ISO certification underscores LASWA’s commitment to excellence and adherence to international standards in its operations.
