My Primark mini skirt ripped down BOTH sides when I was at work… I had to run to the loo & get inventive with my jacket
WHETHER it’s a bust zip or gust of wind, we’ve all experienced our fair share of fashion mishaps when being out and about.
And one woman who knows that feeling only too well is Angel, who told how she was at work when her silver mini skirt rather unfortunately ripped at both sides.
However, rather than having to head home and change into a new outfit, the savvy fashion fan, who works in marketing, had to think fast.
And luckily, it wasn’t long before she found the perfect way to save her ensemble.
In the clip posted to TikTok, Angel can be seen wearing a black and white blouse complete with faux fur cuffs, which she tucks into a metallic silver skirt.
But as she stands in front of the mirror in the toilets, she turns to the side to reveal the material of her skirt, which she purchased from Primark years ago, was crumbling every time she moved.
While many would assume that there’s no salvaging the garment, Angel has a very clever idea.
Taking a blue shacket she luckily had with her, she ties it around her waist and buttons it up at the front, before tying the sleeves into a double knot, transforming it into a stunning new skirt.
Angel captioned the post: “When your skirt rips at work so you have to get inventive.
“I *almost* didn’t wear this shacket but thank the lord I did.”
And, despite admitting she was totally “winging it,” people up and down the country loved the new look, with the post garnering a whopping 920k views.
“Sorry what sorcery?!!! I blinked and the coat was suddenly a skirt???” wrote one.
A second penned: “Girl that’s so iconic like what??”
A third commented: “Omg doing this with shirts!!!”
Meanwhile, a fourth enthused: “Oh wow!”
Another noted: “Only person I know who could pull this off!! I didn’t even notice.”
A further added: “Nailed it!”
And one more chimed in: “Well saved!”
