Arjé HOME is both a gallery space and furniture collection created by New York-based entrepreneurs Bessie and Oliver Corral, who founded Arjé, which made its debut in 2017. The collection is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, utilizing premier local materials to forge each piece with depth, character, and a sense of permanence. These creations not only stand out for their aesthetics and form but also serve as a catalyst for spatial narratives, offering a customizable palette ranging from finishes to dimensions, thereby ensuring exclusivity through personalized pieces such as the named and numbered offerings.
Key highlights include the Enzo Sherling Chair and Ottoman, a duo that synergizes to form a day bed, drawing inspiration from Pierre Jeanneret’s 1950s designs and the tactile richness of shearling outerwear. Crafted with fine shearling and black walnut from the East Coast, this pair anchors any space with its inviting texture and sculptural form. The Noah Sofa, embodying the essence of repose, acts as the heart of a living area. Its design prioritizes comfort with deep seating, enveloped in a blend of cotton and linen, and framed by side panels of black walnut, encouraging moments of relaxation and intimacy.
The Cosmo Coffee Table, the nucleus of the Arjé collection, features a glass top supported by three walnut sculptures that represent the mind, body, and spirit. Handcrafted in Brooklyn, these sculptural legs lend both functionality and aesthetic elegance to the living space, symbolizing the core values of Arjé. Lastly, the Tessa Dining Table celebrates communal gatherings. Designed to accommodate eight, this piece combines black walnut with plaster legs, presenting a striking contrast that anchors the dining room as a site of strength and togetherness.
