Two arrested for alleged fentanyl, drug distribution in Topeka
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Two individuals were arrested for alleged distribution of fentanyl and a host of other drug related charges in Topeka.
On Thursday, the Topeka Police Department (TPD) Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 3300 block of SW Mayo Ave. in connection to an ongoing investigation. Officers found fentanyl, cocain, marijuana, paraphernalia and firearms, according to a press release from the TPD.
A 33-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman were arrested as a result of the search warrant.
The 33-year-old was arrested on the following charges:
- Distribution of fentanyl
- Distribution of a cocaine
- Distribution of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Unlawful use of a telecommunication facility
- Felon in possession of a firearm
- Drug tax stamp
- Unlawful to acquire proceeds from drug transactions
- Battery on a law enforcement officer
- Interference with law enforcement
- Driving on a suspended driver's license
The 54-year-old was arrested on the following charges:
- Distribution of fentanyl
- Distribution of a cocaine
- Distribution of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Drug tax stamp
- Possession of marijuana
