Police investigating ‘forced entry’ burglary at CT vape shop
Police are investigating a burglary at a vape shop in Cheshire where the store’s glass door was smashed out.
Officers just before 4:20 a.m. responded on an active burglar alarm to Fine Cigars and Vape, located at 1070 South Main St, according to the Cheshire Police Department.
Responding officers found forced entry was made through the front glass door of the store, police said. The suspects were gone by the time police arrived.
Police said a cash register with an undermined amount of money inside and several vape products were stolen.
Surveillance at the store showed four masked suspects enter through the broken glass door. They were seen arriving and leaving in a purple Kia Optima with Connecticut plates AY79713, according to police.
Investigators found that the Kia had been stolen from Hamden.
Police said they have not identified the suspects and are still investigating.
