Sportsbooks have a lot of faith in the 2024 Falcons, and we really want to ask them why
With sports betting now legal in 38 U.S. states, the race to open new markets for betting is more intense than ever. Combine that with the public’s appetite for wagering on the NFL, and you get DraftKings Sportsbook releasing season win totals for all 32 teams in March.
On Monday, DraftKings was the first book to release season win totals, with the San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens and two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs all tied for the highest over/under at 11.5.
But one that stood out was the Atlanta Falcons at 10.5 wins. The Falcons signed Kirk Cousins this offseason and are the favorites to win the NFC South. But that would represent the highest win total for Atlanta since at least 1989, according to Sports Odds History’s database… which only goes back to 1989.
2024-25 NFL season win totals are LIVE at @DKSportsbook:

The Falcons had a win total of 10 three times in that span (1999, 2011, 2013) and went 0-2-1 against that number.
It’s certainly a high total, but there is plenty of time before games kick off several months down the line. Bettors will let us know if they agree or disagree with the number with their wallets.
