Hyderabad: Following the 31-run loss on Wednesday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, former Mumbai Indians captain was spotted having an animated chat with owner Akash Ambani. It cannot be confirmed what was being spoken, but all present in that chat looked concerned and dejected. Akash kept listening to Rohit while Tilak Varma was also there. MI have surely not got their IPL campaign off to a good start. They have lost both their matches – first, against the Gujarat Titans and then vs the Sunrisers.

Asked to bat first, SRH posted a mammoth 277/3 – highest in the history of Indian Premier League. They surpassed Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

In reply, Mumbai Indians stayed in the chase till the 18th over before managing 246/5 in 20 overs to lose their second match on the trot in the ongoing edition. It was also the first time, 500 runs were scored in a game.

“Wicket was good, 277 no matter how bad or good you bowl, if the opposition has to score that much, they have batted well. They (the bowlers) were good, it was tough out there, almost 500 runs were scored and the wicket was helping the batters, we could have done a few things here and there, but having said that, we have a young bowling attack and we will learn,” Hardik said at the post-match presentation.
