Jaipur: Jos Buttler is one of the most destructive T20 batters in the world and hence his wicket is always the key in the format. During the Capitals IPL 2024 game against the Royals, Buttler looked well-set on 11 off 16 balls, when Kuldeep Yadav wrapped him on his pads while he was trying to sweep. Kuldeep went up in appeal, but the umpire did not raise his finger. Then, Kuldeep walked up to Rishabh Pant and forced him to take the DRS. Initially, Pant looked a little reluctant but then went for it. As it turned out, there were three reds, and Buttler had to walk back to the pavilion.

“The wicket looks fine and we want to use it, there might be some dew in the 2nd innings. Feels good to play 100 matches for the same franchise, but every game is important for me. Most of the concerns are regarding injury, but these are things you can’t control. Two changes for us – Ishant hasn’t recovered, Shai Hope has a back spasm.
