Shoppers race to Aldi for ‘gorgeous’ optical illusion vase – and it’s £18 cheaper than pricey boutique version
FROM homeware essentials to clothing, Aldi’s middle aisles are full of hugely discounted bargains to rummage through.
And if you’re looking for something stylish to display your spring daffodils or tulips in then the budget supermarket has got you covered – but you better be quick.
Shoppers have been raving about the wire optical illusion vase after spotting it in store this week.
The stylish Aldi vase is available in black or gold and priced at £4.99.
According to the product description, the surround is made from iron with a small glass holder inside and is the “perfect decorative piece” for your home.
Aldi bosses added: “This unique Kirkton House Wire Vase is a stylish must have this season.
“With a mini glass vase that fits inside, you can use as an actual vase and add some flowers, or alternatively, this wire vase can become a decorative piece in your home.
“No matter where you place this masterpiece, it will glisten from every angle.”
Bargain hunters have flooded the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group – which boasts 2.4million members – with pictures of their vases on display at home.
“I love mine. Absolute bargain”, gushed one.
“Heading back tomorrow for another one”, revealed another.
A third added: “Bought one today. Looks more expensive than £5.”
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “I bought two, they are gorgeous.”
Other shoppers have been desperately trying to get their hands on the Specialbuy item, as one insisted: “I need this vase!”
A second echoed: “Need!!!! I would buy myself flowers every week…it’s gorgeous.”
Someone else wrote: “I saw these in my local Aldi and wasn’t sure but now I’ve seen pictures of them I’m back there tomorrow to get one.”
And a fourth admitted: “I didn’t buy cause the vase itself looked small. Kicking myself now.”
And many interiors fans couldn’t help but notice that the vase is way cheaper than similar ones selling on online boutiques.
“That looks so similar to one I’ve had my eye on that’s £28”, said one.
“I’m off tomorrow to have a look!”
Another added: “I’m going to get one tomorrow despite having just ordered a more expensive one yesterday.”
“Wish they did these before I spent £23 on the one from Contempee, they’re identical”, wrote a third.
