I’ll say this, if Knighthead, with all their resources, cannot return us to the second tier immediately, then this time next year I’ll hold my hands up.
Whilst we would lose players (I don’t care that much as they’ve relegated us anyway), I see no reason whatsoever why we wouldn’t retain/attract players who would be the envy of the division:
If we have either of TM or GR in charge or any other manager of decent credence, they would have no excuse for failing to win promotion:
This is exactly what villa fans were saying when they got relegated into the championship. They struggled and were very, very lucky that they got promoted in their third season. Its a little arrogant in my opinion.
