Traffic stop leads to drug arrest, foot chase in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man was arrested after being pulled over and fleeing deputies on foot, according to the Albany County Sheriff's Office. Rayson Butler, 31, faces multiple charges.
On Tuesday, around 8:48 p.m., Albany County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled over a car near Sherman Street and Lark Street for a traffic violation. Butler was identified as the passenger of the car.
Deputies say Butler continuously provided false identification to them and fled on foot during interviews. Deputies say Butler was apprehended after a short chase and was found with cocaine intended for sale based on its quantity and packaging. Law enforcement says Butler had several arrest warrants he was trying to hide from them as well.

- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Tampering with physical evidence

- Resisting arrest
