Report: Napoli are plotting a shock move for Tottenham attacker
According to Radio Kiss Kiss (relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb), Napoli are considering making a shock move to sign Dejan Kulusevski from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
While Kulusevski had an exceptional start to his Tottenham career after his move from Juventus a little over two years ago, the winger has failed to recapture that form over the last 18 months.
While the 23-year-old continues to be one of Spurs’ hardest-working players off the ball and produces moments of magic in the final third, those moments are proving to be too few and far between for the liking of some.
One can certainly argue that Brennan Johnson is far more deserving of the right-wing birth than the Swede, given the performances that the Welshman has delivered over the last couple of months.
Napoli plotting a move for Tottenham’s Kulusevski
Radio Kiss Kiss have now suggested that Napoli could test the waters to see if Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Kulusevski this summer.
The report explains that their pursuit of the Spurs winger is linked to their desire to appoint Antonio Conte, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis ready to ‘do anything’ to bring the former Tottenham boss to Naples.
It is alleged that the Italian coach ‘greatly appreciates’ Kulusevski, which is why De Laurentiis might put in a big effort to take the winger to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

I do not think Tottenham or Postecoglou would be in a rush to move Kulusevski on, even though the Swede has not had a great season by his standards.
Having said that, the 23-year-old is clearly not a very natural fit for the right-wing birth in Postecoglou’s system and Spurs might be tempted to cash in on him if Napoli are to make an offer around the £50m mark.
