Man pleads guilty in 2020 Niagara Street shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from a shooting on Niagara Street in 2020, the Erie County District Attorney's office said Thursday.
Eric Reyes, 39, admitted to shooting another man with an illegal gun at a restaurant on the 1500 block of Niagara during a dispute on Sep. 6, 2020.
The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds but was able to run to Potomac Avenue where he was picked up in a private vehicle. He was treated at ECMC for injuries to his buttocks and leg.
Reyes pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree attempted assault, one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of second-degree assault.
He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on July 12. He is out of custody on $150,000 bail.
