Holiday Valley says Saturday was last day of season
ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) -- It's a sign that spring is surely here. Holiday Valley's winter season is officially over.
The ski destination shared on social media that this past Saturday was its last day of the season. The decision was made on Tuesday.
"The snowmaking team and mountain crew worked extremely hard to allow us to get 115 days of skiing and riding in this season!" Holiday Valley wrote online. "Thank you for helping us have an action packed and memorable winter."
Holiday Valley kicked off its season on December 1 and through back-and-forth bouts of cold and warm weather, the ski resort held on for a long season extending to the end of March.
Back in February, Holiday Valley Marketing Director Dash Hegeman told News 4 that its investments in snow-making equipment were a "saving grace."
