Liverpool next manager odds: Ruben Amorim price drifts after West Ham ‘plane’ claim, bookies reveal new contender

But it’s no longer a foregone conclusion after the highly-rated Portuguese boss drifted from 1/5 to 7/4 with bookmakers William Hill overnight.

SunSport understands the Sporting Lisbon boss has emerged as the Hammers’ top managerial target with David Moyes likely to leave east London when his contract expires this summer.
CNN Portugal claim club officials organised a flight to England for Amorim, along with businessman Raul Costa, ahead of a proposed meeting at the London Stadium on Monday.
William Hill’s odds suggest that Liverpool are still in the driving seat, but their betting market on who will replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield is now wide open.
Feyenoord manager Arne Slot is well in the mix at 3/1.
The Dutchman, 45, has enjoyed a productive spell in charge of Feyenoord since his arrival in July 2021, winning the Eredivisie last season.
His side also finished runners up in the Europa League Conference and clinched the KNVB Cup when beating NEC Nijmegen on Sunday.
Roberto De Zerbi is next at 4/1 with William Hill.
He’s fancied by Reds legend Jamie Carragher, who argues that incoming sporting director Richard Hughes wanted De Zerbi during his time at Bournemouth.
Pep Lijnders and Julian Nagelsmann are next at 10/1, ahead of 12/1 trio Thomas Tuchel, Xabi Alonso and Gary O’Neil.

“But with strong rumours that Ruben Amorim could be on his way to West Ham instead, his price to replace Jurgen Klopp has drifted significantly from 1/5 to 7/4.
“We didn’t have Arne Slot in the betting before today, but with Amorim looking much more unlikely now, he could be a viable contender and we make him the second favourite at 7/2.
“The other notable mover is Roberto De Zerbi, who is now 4/1 from 10/1.”
