Troy man arrested on drug, gun charges
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police Department in collaboration with the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office arrested Matthew Durand, 23, of Troy, on Monday. Durand faces multiple gun and drug charges.
The police report executing a search warrant on Mann Avenue in Troy Monday night following a narcotics and weapon investigation. Law enforcement says that a defaced, loaded handgun, crack cocaine, and fentanyl were recovered from the search that allegedly belonged to Durand.

- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Criminal possession of a weapon (defaced weapon)
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
Durand was arraigned in Troy City Court after being processed at the Troy Police Department Central Station. He was placed in the custody of the Rensselaer County Jail.
