The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Thane, Raigad districts, and certain areas of Mumbai spanning April 27 to 29. This alert marks the second heatwave advisory issued for Mumbai and its environs this month. During April 15 and 16, the area endured intense heat, with temperatures soaring to 41 degrees Celsius in some parts of Navi Mumbai.
