Arne Slot Has ‘Already Indicated’ Expectation Of Feyenoord’s Behaviour To Liverpool Interest

Arne Slot has ‘already indicated’ that he is hoping Feyenoord do not make it difficult for him to join Liverpool this summer.

 

The Dutchman has emerged as the top contender to become the next manager at Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp’s farewell at the end of the season.

 

Liverpool are expected to move on trying to secure Slot as their next manager soon with the club now keen to get the appointment sorted out.

 

 

A fee of €10m plus would be needed to get him out of his Feyenoord contract and the Dutch club have already identified a successor.

 

Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur found Feyenoord hard to deal with when they wanted Slot last year, but according to Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad (via Voetbal Primeur), the Dutchman has already indicated that he expects the club to be more cooperative this time around.

 

 

The 45-year-old coach is keen to join Liverpool and work in the Premier League going forward.

 

He is not expecting Feyenoord to make it difficult for him to secure his passage to Anfield at the end of the season.

 

 

Slot also wants to take his assistant Sipke Hulshoff, who is also Ronald Koeman’s right-hand man in the Netherlands set-up, to Liverpool with him.
