Traffic stop leads to ghost gun arrest for 2 in Albany
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two Albany men were arrested after a traffic stop in Albany Tuesday evening. Nazaruz Thompson and Sincere Cobb, both 19, allegedly had a loaded ghost gun and did not have the right to possess firearms, per the Albany County Sheriff's Office.
On Tuesday, around 9:45 p.m., deputies pulled over a car near Quail Street and Spring Street for a traffic violation. Deputies identified Thompson as the driver and Cobb as the passenger.
Law enforcement says both were found to have a loaded .9MM caliber semi-automatic ghost gun, neither having the right to possess firearms.
Charges:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
Both Thompson and Cobb are scheduled to be arraigned in Albany Criminal Court on Wednesday.
