Shoppers are racing to nab hair ‘root spray’ to hide greys and dodgy regrowth that’s scanning for just 89p at the till
ROOT spray is the easiest way to delay your next trip to the salon, as one shopper recently found out.
The helpful product is designed to cover up grey hairs and root regrowth between colouring sessions.
It typically comes in different shades for different hair colours that you spray through a nozzle directly onto your head.
L’Oreal, Schwarzkopf and Revolution all jumped on the trend in recent years, offering their own take on root spray for less than a tenner.
More expensive versions include the £30 Oribe Airbrush Root Touch-Up Spray from Space NK and £25 R+Co Bright Shadows Root Touch-Up Spray from Cult Beauty.
But it turns out, you don’t need to be spending more than a quid on the product.
One beauty buff discovered cans of root spray scanning for just 89p in her local Home Bargains.
The exact product is the Root Perfect Instant Root Concealer Spray – and it’s still currently on sale elsewhere for £3.99 a pop.
“I saw this root spray at Home Bargains in Thetford on the shelf at £1.99,” the lucky shopper penned on Facebook.
“I’ve never tried these things, so I thought for that price I will try it.
“I got to the till and it was 89p – even better.
“I have tried a little and can see you have to use it sparingly.
“It’s definitely worth a try, they had the dark one too.”
Formulators at the brand described the spray as a “quick and easy fix” for grey hairs and pesky roots.
