Mary J Blige Relaxes in Crown-Embroidered Slippers Before ‘The Tamron Hall Show’ Taping
Mary J Blige slide into a pair of slippers on Wednesday. The singer attended a taping of “The Tamron Hall Show” in New York City, where she was featured.
Oddly enough, she’s not the only one to sport slippers lately. Though he was of the high fashion variety, Just Bieber recently wore oversized Louis Vuitton slippers while walking around Los Angeles.
While on “Tamron Hall,” Blige discussed being recently announced as an inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She expressed surprise at even being nominated on a long list that included names like Sade but was announced as one of the latest inductees, including Cher.
About the shoe
Spotted on the sidewalk before the event, Blige was seen wearing a simple white slipper. These slippers often made of terrycloth, cotton and sometimes fleece, are fairly standard footwear at spas, hotels and in greenrooms. Completely flat, they are seen as a cushy and comfortable alternative to other shoes.
Blige’s pair featured a full crown embroidered across the top.
By the time she appeared onscreen, though, Blige had changed. In the actual episode, she was wearing strappy mint-colored heels.

Mary J Blige is known for her style, particularly when it comes to footwear. In particular, she’s known to sport eye-catching boots. Often in bright colors or sporting a print, these styles have become a part of her visual brand. This can go from knee-high denim boots like a pair she wore in 2023 from Dolce & Gabbana to slick white latex boots like the ones she wore to perform at Soul Music Festival in 2022.
When she’s not in boots, she often opts for something glamorous, like the metallic gold peep-toe heels she wore at her Strength of a Woman Festival last year.
