Eagle-eyed fans ‘spot Elton John’ at The Crucible for World Snooker Championships clash
EAGLE-eyed fans were convinced they spotted Elton John at the Crucible yesterday.
Snooker fans tuned in for the quarter-final clash between Judd Trump and Jak Jones on Tuesday.
The aces put in a quality showing over their two sessions.
But neither could separate the deadlock after finishing 8-8.
And they will resume their battle today for a place in the semis.
However, fans were left distracted after spotting a celebrity in the crowd.
Supporters were left delighted as none other than Elton John appeared to be watching from the audience as Trump took a well-placed shot.
The man bore all the trademarks of Elton John’s style, down from his hair to the iconic glasses.
But upon closer inspection, fans were left disappointed as it turned out to be none other than a regular punter who happened to look like the pop star.
Cheeky fans were quick to talk about it online though, with one saying: “Always nice to see Elton John at the Crucible.”
