Wheeler Dealers’ host Mike Brewer reveals team sold stunning retro Ferrari for ‘a profit’ after buying it for £56k
WHEELER Dealers star Mike Brewer has revealed he managed to “make a profit” on a stunning retro Ferrari.
The beloved motoring presenter, alongside his co-host Marc ‘Elvis’ Priestley, are back on Discovery with a new series.
This time around, the petrolheads have left the UK and they’re embarking on a huge Wheeler Dealers world tour that sees them visit countries in Europe, North America, and even Down Under.
In the first episode, the duo are in Italy and behind the wheel of a stunning Ferrari 348 GTB.
The V8-powered two-seater is one of the Prancing Horse’s most iconic motors – and is perhaps best known as the final model developed under the direction of Enzo Ferrari himself before his death.
The car seen in the Wheeler Dealers’ episode – which is in a quite rare black finish instead of the traditional ‘rosso corsa’ red – is driven by Marc, who says in a clip that he “can’t get over” the fact that the motor isn’t in red.
Mike, sitting in the passenger seat, added: “It’s made the car a rarer car with it being black.”
However, its revealed that the supercar is suffering with a plethora of problems and niggles – including damage to the CV gaiters and the cam belt.

Despite the problems, the pair decide to buy it from its original owner for €68,500 – roughly £56,000 – and fix it up themselves before trying to sell it on for a profit.
After the episode aired, Mike revealed to his followers on X that, unseen on the show, he was able to sell the motor “to an Italian collector, we think for €69,000.”
In a later post, he added: “Just to be clear to everyone, the Ferrari did sell to a private buyer who wanted to remain private.
“We made a small profit but it’s not about that, it’s about telling the story of the car and keeping it alive.”
Making a profit on exotic motors is what Mike does best, having previously revealed he “ignored warnings from TV bosses” on the show to buy rare Austin Healy, fix it up and sell it at £30k profit.
Marc, in an exclusive chat with Sun Motors last month, has also previously revealed his “golden rule” for drivers looking to buy a classic motor and make a profit.
In the same chat, Mike revealed that a horror crash was hidden in an episode of the new show.
