Brotherhood Playoff Watch: Paolo Banchero’s Star Turn Wasn’t Enough For Orlando
Banchero, just 21, exploded for 39 points
In Tuesday’s Brotherhood Playoff Action, the Orlando Magic lost 104-103 despite a monster game from Paolo Banchero.
Banchero racked up 39 points, shooting 4-7 from behind the line and 14-24 overall. He also had eight rebounds and four assists.
It wasn’t enough though as Evan Mobley blocked a last-second shot by Franz Wagner who drove on the young Cavalier big man and regretted it, saying it had been a mistake.
Wendell Carter had seven points, 11 rebounds, two assists and three blocks.
Despite Banchero’s brilliance, Orlando thus falls behind 3-2. Game 6 will be at home on Friday.
On Wednesday, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics take on Miami with a 3-1 lead while Dallas, with Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively, square off against Mason Plumlee and the LA Clippers. That series is tied 2-2.
