My husband loves to show me off on his arm but I refuse to be a trad wife – I’ll stop my sons from marrying one too
A PROUD trophy wife reckons there’s nothing wrong with being put on a pedestal – as long as your husband is a prize too.
Sara Cheek, from Florida, wants people to flip the script on outdated stereotypes about relationships.
The model and mum of four believes too many women have the wrong idea about relationships.
She said: “It’s easy to be a trophy wife when you have a trophy husband.
“It all goes back to how we live our lives and the choices we make.
“I didn’t desire to marry for a guy to provide for me. I can and will provide for myself, so I desired a guy that would love me and be my best friend.
“When you go at it with that mindset, the type you pick is different.
“So yes I consider myself a trophy wife because I don’t sit at home, and expect my husband to bring me home a paycheck, pick out my car, go on business trips, while I sit at home and watch The Bachelor.
“My ideology is different, it’s intimidating, and it’s rare. Just like an MVP trophy, not everyone gets one because they don’t possess what it takes.
“If more women were willing to flip the script on society, they would be a lot happier in chasing love versus a lifestyle.”
Sara added: “I have sons, and I would be devastated for them if they married a girl whose narrative was to marry someone that provides, he isn’t a job title, he’s a human.”
We told earlier how Sara works out for 14 hours a week to keep herself in shape after having kids.
And she’s urged other women to ditch “hideous” granny panties and start showing off their bodies.
She said: “You aren’t a bad mum for wanting to be fit or look sexy in a bikini.
“Do whatever you have to do to make yourself happy at what you see in the mirror.
“A happy mum is a good mum.
“It took me four years to finally get my pre-baby body back. “I’ve got stretch marks but nobody cares.”
