Van Gogh and Monet immersive art exhibitions set for Baltimore Convention Center

Art fans can surround themselves with iconic masterpieces this summer when Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experiences come to Baltimore for the first time.

The multimedia events open July 5 at the Baltimore Convention Center and continue through Sept. 15, with general admission tickets going on sale Friday at 9 a.m. Presales began Tuesday.

The traveling exhibitions, produced by Paquin Entertainment Group, have attracted over 7 million visitors around the world to an immersive experience that projects the classic works of artists Vincent van Gogh and Claude Monet from wall to wall and floor to floor, placing visitors in the middle of some of the most famous works of art.

“Through cutting-edge technology, these immersive experiences are redefining what art means to people,” Justin Paquin, Paquin Entertainment Group’s president of exhibitions and theatrical, said in a statement. “It has elevated artwork to the next level, allowing audiences to develop deeper connections with notable masterpieces that were just not possible in previous years.”

In an exhibition that spans more than 30,000 square feet, high-resolution mages of hundreds of Van Gogh’s paintings, including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace,” appear alongside a symphonic score in Beyond Van Gogh.

In Beyond Monet, more than 400 of the artist’s impressionist pieces, including the Water Lilies series, create a colorful experience in over 50,000 square feet, accompanied by an original score.

The two traveling exhibitions are ticketed separately or together. Tickets prices were not released by tickets for the exhibition in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tickets are based on timed admission, with basic entry starting at $29.99. Children’s tickets, ages 5-15, start at $19.99. Discounts are available for students, seniors and military. Children 4 and under are free.
