Mariners aim for a sweep against one of the best teams in baseball
Look at us, who’d have thought, things of that nature. Series win secured, the Mariners go for a sweep over the Braves, who had the best record in baseball before the Mariners handed them back-to-back Ls over this series (their first back-to-back losses of the season). Emerson Hancock will get to test himself against the team from his home state, which we’ll assume he grew up rooting for, because, you know. Georgia.
Lineups:
The Mariners will be deploying their righty-heavy lineup against lefty Chris Sale, which means sitting Josh Rojas, which is a decision I hate some. Petition to put Rojas in immediately if Sale no-hits the Mariners the first time through.
