Queen Letizia of Spain Strides in ’90s-Inspired Kitten Heels for Flag Oath Anniversary
Queen Letizia of Spain, alongside King Felipe VI of Spain, attended the 40th anniversary of the Flag Oath of the 44th promotion of the General Military Academy on Saturday in Zaragoza, Spain while wearing a pair of short black heels.
The member of the Spanish royal family is often seen sporting similar pairs of classic shoe silhouettes in neutral colorways and patterns. Recently, Queen Letiza was seen wearing a pair of Carolina Herrera slingback pumps while visiting the exposition of mural painters at Museum Straat in Amsterdam in April of this year. The pointed-toe shoes, crafted in a glossy navy leather, featured an estimated 2-inch stiletto heel and silver buckle closure.
The Flag Oath of the 44th promotion of the General Military Academy is a traditional ceremony that is repeated 25, 40 and 50 years after King Felipe swore the flag. On Saturday, the Spanish royal family celebrated 40 years since the original event.
