Kaley Cuoco Reveals Her Daughter Tildy’s ‘Favorite Frickin’ Word’ & Moms Everywhere Feel Her Pain
Kaley Cuoco’s daughter Matilda “Tildy” Carmine is talking up a storm — just, not about her mama. In fact, the 13-month-old is focused on one thing and one thing only, her dad Tom Pelphrey!
At An Evening from the Heart, a gala by The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, on Thursday, The Big Bang Theory alum told PEOPLE that Tildy is obsessed with her dad. Her daughter says “’Dad, dad,’ everything ‘Dad dad dad dad’… all she says is ‘dad, dada.’ It’s her favorite frickin word. I’m like, ‘Do you know the word mama? Have you ever heard it?’ But it’s all ‘Dad. dad. dad.'”
Poor mama! I’ve been there. There’s nothing like that bittersweet feeling of being excited to see how much your baby loves their dad, yet being incredibly jealous that they aren’t showing their mom this much love yet!
At the event, Cuoco shared that Tildy is currently in the East Coast with Pelphrey while he films a movie, but they will be reunited for Mother’s Day this weekend. “Matilda is just the most special thing in the world. So I miss her a lot and I’ve been without her for a week so I’m ready to head back,” Coco told the outlet.
Last month, The Flight Attendant star shared a photo of Tildy being a daddy’s girl. She shared one screenshot of a FaceTime on her Instagram story, writing, “Good morning FaceTimes with the chunk ????.”
But in her second FaceTime, Pelphrey was holding Tildy — and she was giving him the fondest gaze while Cuoco tried to talk to her. “Family FaceTime but she only has eyes for Dada ????,” she wrote over the video.
Luckily, though, Tildy does know how to say mama, even if she doesn’t do it often. The Based on a True Story star told E! News last month that Tildy’s first words were “’Mama,’ ‘Dada,’ and ‘dog,’” which Cuoco said, “made me very happy.”
In the same interview, she opened up about how her and the Ozark star arrange their hectic schedules. “I’ve actually been in Philadelphia the last few months while Tom’s been shooting,” she told E!. “So now I get to come back and go to work and yeah, we just kind of trade off and our daughter is so happy. And so that’s all that matters.”
Maybe for Mother’s Day Tildy will gift Cuoco with a few “mama”s. If not, well, at least she’s cute!
