‘Massive game’ – Harry Redknapp predicts the score for Tottenham vs Burnley
Harry Redknapp believes that James Maddison needs to deliver a convincing performance against Burnley if he is to ensure he makes the England squad for the European Championship.
Tottenham are now under immense pressure after four back-to-back losses in the Premier League and they will be keen to end the season strongly and head into the summer with a bit of optimism.
On paper, the Lilywhites could not have asked for an easier fixture, with Burnley set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next.
However, Ange Postecoglou will know that his players have to send a message and that nothing other than a convincing win will do much to ease the scrutiny that he is now under.

Redknapp insisted that despite Spurs’ poor form, he cannot see anything other than a win for the home side this afternoon but he remarked that Maddison has to prove a point against the Clarets.
The former Tottenham manager told BetVictor: “This is now a massive game for Spurs. It’s probably all too late for their top-four hopes but you never know! Some of the defending away at Anfield last week was just so poor.
“Burnley simply have to win this game. To their credit, they’ve improved in the second half of the season, but it was all a bit too late. Despite the form, I can’t see anything but a Spurs win.
“James Maddison needs a big performance here. He’s been out the side in the last few weeks and I don’t think he’s a cert to make the Euros squad.”
Prediction: Tottenham 3-1

I believe that Maddison is guaranteed to be on his way to the Euros and I do not think the midfielder’s loss in form will impact his selection. The Tottenham man is quite different to the other options that England have in that position, which is why Gareth Southgate will want to have him on the bench.
