BGT winners ‘revealed’ ahead of live shows after act wows fans and overtakes singing rival

BRITAIN’S Got Talent’s act Denise and Stefan are favourite to win the show, according to the latest odds from bookies Ladbrokes.

The opera duo, who are both blind, were the standout performers on the hit ITV show last weekend.

The pair, from Stoke-on-Trent, got a standing ovation with their emotional performance of Climb Every Mountain from The Sound of Music.

The judges dubbed them the “positive in a world of negativity” and “what BGT is truly about”.

Fans even slammed the show for not giving them a golden buzzer, despite reducing them to tears.

Judge Bruno Tonioli said of their performance: “I’m inspired by you, I’ve learnt something today about your positive state of mind.

“You are an example.”

The pair were sent through to the next round of auditions.

If successful, they will be put through to the live semi-finals for a chance of winning £250,000, along with a slot at the Royal Variety Performance.

However, Ladbrokes already predicts that Denise and Stefan will emerge as this year’s winners, surpassing previous fan favourite Sydnie Christmas.

They said: “The opera duo were the standout performers on the hit ITV show last weekend, and they’ve subsequently been installed as 7/2 favourites to go all the way in the competition, leapfrogging Sydnie Christmas (now 5/1) in the process.”

Sydnie blew the judges and audience away with her performance of Tomorrow from the musical Annie earlier this month.

She dropped to the floor in tears following her showstopper song – with many fans already tipping her for this year’s title.

But fans were quick to brand Sydnie’s audition a “fix” after her stage school experience came to light.
