'Supernatural' Costars DJ Qualls & Ty Olsson are Engaged!

DJ Qualls and costar Ty Olsson are going to have a Supernatural wedding!

If you forgot, DJ, 45, played the werewolf Garth on the hit series. Ty brought the vampire Benny to life.

On his Locked and Probably Load podcast, DJ broke the news about their relationship and confirmed that they were engaged.

Talking about their relationship, DJ noted that it evolved over the years. However, he said that they were “inseparable at the very beginning,” via People. “Now we’re getting married,” he added.

DJ noted that they met at a Supernatural convention, and Ty asked if he could join his costar and a friend on a trip to Turkey.

“And I’m like, ‘That is so ballsy!’ I could never invite myself on somebody’s trip. ‘Cause I’d be afraid they would begrudgingly tell me yes and then not want me there. But it was just so pure and awesome, and that’s who he is,” he recalled. “I didn’t know him. And it was the beginning of our friendship.”

While he didn’t specify when their relationship evolved, DJ said that it was “just so crazy” that Ty went from a friend to someone that he thinks about “all the time.”

“He sends the best messages, and he supports me and loves me unconditionally in the right way,” he gushed, praising their “unconditional love.”

He said, “Ty was the first person in my entire life, my entire life that [I] ever had that with.”

“I say just a friend. [He is] the best friend I ever had, and now we’re going to be old men together, which is so crazy,” he added.

Congratulations to DJ and Ty! We wish them well as this exciting time.
