'Mad' Marjorie Taylor Greene meltdown tied to Trump snub by MSNBC host

Reacting to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) getting into a shouting match during a House hearing with Reps. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). MSNBC host Alex Witt suggested there may be more going on below the surface with the Georgia Republican than just trading insults.

Welcoming fellow MSNBC co-host Ali Velshi, who sat with Crockett for an interview earlier Saturday morning to talk about her returning fire at Taylor Greene with her now-viral "bleach blond, bad-built butch body" potshot, Witt wondered why the Georgia lawmaker decided to pick a fight.

As Witt pointed out, there has been a steady parade of MAGA GOP lawmakers who have been drafted to appear at Donald Trump's Manhattan hush money trial as a show of solidarity and to make statements he can't deliver due to Judge Juan Merchan's gag order.

Notably absent has been Taylor Greene, one of Trump's most loyal boosters.

"Listen, that hearing got underway so late, it was 8:00 at night by the time they all got back and everyone is going to be cranky and tired," Witt stated before suggesting, "I'm curious what you thought about it. Jasmine Crockett was on your show, you interviewed her, and I'm also going to add this as a caveat: I wonder, MTG, she was not there in New York. I wonder if she was not invited and she was mad and she came to that meeting with a hornet's nest, right?"

"She was mad and she picked a fight," a smiling Velshi agreed before continuing, "And look, you have to know among your coworkers, you gotta know who is the one who is going to pick a fight with and who is not, and Marjorie Taylor Greene should have probably figured out that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett are not ideal people to pick these fights with, so, they gave it back to her."
