'Oh, come on!' Tommy Tuberville dismisses Trump connection to 'unified Reich'  video

WASHINGTON — Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) doesn't believe Donald Trump's campaign published a video championing a "unified Reich" in his second term in office — despite screen captures.

On Monday, President Joe Biden's campaign called out Donald Trump for a video that shared a series of headlines about his new order.

"BORDER IS CLOSED — 15 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS DEPORTED," read one fake headline. Another said, "MAGA!!"

Zooming in on the article shows it also reads: "Industrial strength significantly increased ... driven by the creation of a unified Reich."

When Raw Story caught up with Tuberville, who attended the hush money trial with Trump last week, the Alabama lawmaker implied it was all fake news.

"Oh, come on, that came from some PAC or something," Tuberville said about the video.

Screen captures show that the video was posted on Trump's personal Truth Social page Monday, before being deleted the following day "after backlash," reported Reuters.

The campaign said in a statement that the video was "not created by the campaign" and was "reposted by a staffer that did not see the word."

"I just heard someone used it as a statement," Tuberville continued. "Do you think that came out of the Republican Party? No. No."

Raw Story explained that the video was a major story Tuesday.

"Oh, I mean, come on, they’re just lookin' for something to talk about," he said.

Other Republicans, such as Sens. John Cornyn (TX) and Ted Cruz (TX) refused to respond when asked about the video.

Sen. Mitt Romney appeared so shocked by the idea of the video that he said he needed to confirm it was real before he could comment on it.

"But if it's true," he continued, "it's just another reason not to vote for Trump."
