The Italians ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a sensational hat-trick from former Charlton Athletic star Ademola Lookman.

The scoreline sent shockwaves throughout the world, but not as much as John O’Shea‘s bringing out of the trophy ahead of the presentation.

Former Red Devils star O’Shea was seemingly given the honour of bringing out the trophy as he’s a former Republic of Ireland international.

The 43-year-old made 118 appearances and scored three goals for The Boys in Green in his 17-year-long international career.

The versatile defender, of course, is still currently the team’s interim manager following his appointment as Stephen Kenny‘s temporary successor in February.
