At least 60 Palestinians killed in Israeli attack on Gaza
Officials from the Ministry of Health and Palestinian media reported that on Thursday, at least 60 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and ground attacks.
According to the official Palestinian news agency “WAFA,” the Israeli army has continued its attacks on central and southern Gaza since last night.
In airstrikes on the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and the Al-Nusairat refugee camp, at least 34 people lost their lives.
As a result of the collapse of some buildings in airstrikes in the Zaytoun area of Gaza City, a significant number of people were killed and injured.
On the other hand, it is reported that dozens of people are trapped under the rubble, and search and rescue teams and ambulances have been unable to reach the area due to intense attacks and obstruction by Israeli forces.
According to reports, the Israeli army also clashed with Hamas militants in parts of Rafah.
Local residents also said that Israeli tanks advanced into southeastern areas of Rafah.
Recent Israeli attacks in northern and southern Gaza this month have displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes.
These attacks have also blocked humanitarian aid routes and intensified the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Earlier, the Palestinian relief agency announced that since the beginning of Israel’s attack on Rafah in early May, around 800,000 Palestinians in this area have been displaced.
Rafah’s largest population consists of Palestinians who have sought refuge there from across Gaza during Israeli attacks.
Despite international calls to refrain from attacking Rafah, Israel has insisted on continuing its military operations in the area.
