Bristol Flyers to re-enter ENBL for 2024/25 season

Bristol Flyers will re-enter the European North Basketball League for the 2024/25 season.

Coach Kapoulas’ side will continue to compete in Europe, following a successful debut season in the ENBL, which saw the club reach the Playoff Quarter-Finals with a winning record.

“It was important for the progression of our programme to continue to play in Europe this season,” Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas commented.

“We both share the same growth ambitions, with the ENBL being a great platform to develop our club and understand what it takes to compete on and off the court in European competition.

“We had a historic debut season last year and finishing the group stages with a winning record and reaching the playoff quarter-finals was something that were very proud of.

“Preparations are well underway for our second season in the ENBL, as we look to take the learnings from last year to go even further this time around.”

The ENBL will expand to 18 teams for the upcoming campaign – with clubs drawn into two, nine team groups, competing in eight midweek games during the regular season.

Newly-announced clubs in the competition so far include Dutch side Donar Groningen, Polish side Dziki Warszawa, Dinamo Bucharest of Romania, Inter Bratislava of Slovakia and Norwegian Champions Fyllingen.

They will join returning ENBL champions Bakken Bears, CSO Voluntari, Tartu Ulikool, Basket Brno, Valmiera Glass, and Keila Bsket for the 2024/25 season, with a further six clubs to be revealed.

The top four from each group will advance to the ENBL playoffs, before a final four will be held at a central location in April 2025.

The draw for the Group Stage of the 2024/25 European North Basketball League is expected to take place later in the summer, with the full schedule confirmed shortly afterwards.
