THIS Tracy Beaker star looks unrecognisable 14 years after hit children’s show and is now on the big screen, starring in a huge US series.
John Bell appeared in Tracy Beaker Returns, the hit sequel to The Story of Tracy Beaker on CBBC, starring as Toby Coleman.
The 26-year-old is a Scottish actor and has switched out his ginger locks for a buzz cut and a newer edgy style.
The actor’s striking new look is worlds away from the young boy that Tracy Beaker fans remember.
Toby was an 11-year-old boy known on the show as Bad Luck Boy when he became convinced he was cursed.
He starred alongside Dani Harmer, who is famed for playing high-spirited teen Tracy Beaker in the foster home known as The Dumping Ground.
After Tracy returns to the foster home as a teenage care assistant, Toby moves into The Dumping Ground after his parents died in a car accident.
His character remained at The Dumping Ground for the first two seasons but left in the third series after he was fostered.
Based on Jacqueline Wilson’s book series, the show followed orphan Tracy and her pals in a children’s home, first hitting screens in 2002.
It has gone on to become one of the most popular franchises of all time, with six books, three TV series, a number of successful spin-offs and even a television movie.
Following his stint on the children’s TV show, the actor made his big debut in blockbuster movies such as Wrath of the Titans and Battleships.
Since then, the movie star has gone on to feature on the huge US TV series Outlander playing the character of Ian Murray.
Outlander is a gritty drama based on the historical time travel Outlander series of books by Diana Gabaldon.
John has been playing this character in the show since all the way back in Season 3 and is still known as “Young Ian”.
The character is known for his adventurous nature and being the nephew of Jamie Fraser, the show’s main protagonist.
His appearance in the show sees the TV star sporting a rugged look with long hair and a toned body.
The series has gained hundreds and millions of loyal fans for over decade and will be making it’s comeback in November this year.
