'Low-IQ' Boebert slammed as Bible-thumping, gun-toting big-mouth on GOP primary day
While voters pick their next congressional lawmaker, Colorado state Rep. Richard Holtorf remains off the stump to battle brush fires and herd over 1,000 cattle to safer soil.
But that hasn't stopped him from carving out a moment to offer some choice words about his firebrand GOP opponent: Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
“I gotta take care of cattle first,” the Colorado House candidate Holtorf told the New York Post.
Since Sunday, the retired U.S. Army Colonel and third-generation rancher announced he'd be forced off the trail to turn into a caped crusader by putting out a 500-acre inferno and attending to dry wells threatening the livestock.
"Everywhere I’ve gone, people say they can’t stand Boebert," he noted. "Boebert with her Bible, and her big mouth, and her pistol on her hip. She’s a low-IQ congresswoman. That’s all she is — quote me."
So far, his grit has helped spare every cattle — but the grass has charred and there has been substantial damage to ranch fencing.

And he doesn't feel the departure from the race in favor of last-minute politicking would move the needle in the final hours before poll stations close at 7 p.m. local time.
He told The Post: “It’s not going to matter that much.”
Holtorf also posted a tweet, eager to end Boebert's career in politics.
"Also, I am NOT DROPPING OUT," his tweet read. "This setback will not stop me from sending Lauren Boebert back to Rifle."
Boebert switched congressional districts to run in the more conservative 4th district that was left vacant when Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) retired in March.
Boebert, first elected in 2020, is the presumed front-runner in the six-way race.
Besides Holtorf, the other candidates include former state Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg, current state Reps. Mike Lynch and Richard Holtorf and parental rights advocate Deborah Flora.
Her name has also drawn a lot more eyeballs following a scandal in which she security video captured her vaping and getting handsy with a date at a musical production of Beetlejuice.
Boebert had also switched from her more progressive 3rd district after nosing a win in 2022.
She has blamed outside groups for targeting her.
