Watch Snoop Dogg Compete Against Pros at U.S. Olympic Trials
Most people know Snoop Dogg for his music or his many business ventures launched over the years. This summer, the "Gin & Juice" rapper is heading to Paris to work as a special correspondent for NBC's coverage of the Olympics in July and August. But that's not Snoop's only involvement with the Games.
On June 24, Tha Doggfather attended the Olympic trials for the U.S. track and field team wearing an American flag-colored tracksuit and a Team USA shirt that honored the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. The rapper got on the track and ran a 200-meter exhibition rage against Trinidadian former Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and two-time NCAA outdoor 200-meter champion Wallace Spearmon. Unsurprisingly, he came in dead last, registering 34.44 seconds on the clock.
"34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain’t bad," Snoop said after the race, going on to pose with his time on the clock.

He went on to give his unvarnished commentary of the men's 3000-meter steeplechase, seemingly warming up to give remarks on Olympic events next month.
"What we’re about to see right now is they’re about to get to dipping, gripping, riding, slipping, and hopefully not sliding," he said. The runners jumping over hurdles caught him off guard, giving a taste of what viewers can expect from his broadcasts during the Games.
"That was a cold trick right there," he said. "I like that one. Went off the tippy-top."

The 2024 Olympic Games kick off on the River Seine on July 26.
