This outerwear item has been recognised as a “popular” item, according to M&S’ website, because numerous shoppers are eyeballing the item already.
The Cotton Rich Utility Jacket is a lightweight, versatile and timeless jacket perfect to slip on for running errands or layering over an outfit on the summer days when the rain hits or winds set in, or chilly summer evenings.
This design is inspired by the utilitarian style, which means it is laid back, relaxed fit, instead of the tailored structured outerwear designs you may be used to.
The short-length jacket has been created from a cotton and elastane blend, though the cotton has been responsibly sourced as part of M&S’ Better Cotton Initiative.
The short length means this jacket measures 63 cm from the collar to the waist, which is measured on the UK size 12 design. It falls to the hips, but when fastened up it can be hoisted up to sit on the waist for a baggy fit.
The jacket is a regular fit, which is similar to a bomber jacket. It boasts a funnel neck, which has a belt detail to fasten around the neckline to keep any draughts at bay.
This neutral jacket features a concealed zip front fastening, with added poppers for security.
The shoulders feature epaulettes for the off-duty look, while the jacket features two front-side large cargo pockets.
The Marks & Spencer jacket is available to shop in UK Dress sizes 6 to 24, which retails for £49.50.
You can pair this jacket over a summer dress, mini, midi or maxi, over leggings and a t-shirt for off-duty days, as well as jeans and a cami top.
