PlayStation offers owners three free games in July including a 91-rated title

ASIDE from the ability to play games online, there are a number of other benefits available to PS Plus subscribers.

Even at the cheapest tier, PlayStation Plus Essential, members can grab new free games to play every month.

The highlight game of this month is Borderlands 3, which has an incredible 91 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic.

Borderlands 3 is the fourth mainline game in the FPS series known for its cel-shaded art style and wacky humour.

Among Us, the viral party game sensation, is also available in July and is perfect for PS Plus Essential subscribers.

PS Plus Essential allows people to play PlayStation games online, and as a multiplayer party game, you need to be online in order to play.

Among Us is a game where some players are crewmates and others are imposters. 

Imposters try to sabotage tasks and murder crewmates, while crewmates complete tasks and try to evict imposters.

The final game is NHL 24, the latest annual entry in the ice hockey series of sports games.

Alongside the three games, PlayStation is offering a new deal that PS Plus subscribers can pick up.

Anyone who has a 12-month PS Plus subscription can grab movie credits to rent films on the Sony Pictures Core app, available in select countries, including the UK and the US.

The number of movie credits received will depend on the tier of your subscription, and higher-tier subscriptions will get more credits.

This offer ends on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, so you have just a few weeks if you want to grab your free films.
